Find Out Why Rahul Dravid Joined Indian Team During Practice Session Ahead of 3rd T20 against SA

Legendary Indian cricketer and head of the NCA (National Cricket Academy) Rahul Dravid on Friday was spotted during with the Indian team during the practice session at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.

He was seen having a candid chat with Indian team head coach Ravi Shastri and other Indian cricketers. According to the sources he was present to lend some valuable advice to the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Krunal Pandya, Rishabh Pant, Navdeep Saini, Rahul and Deep Chahar.

All the above-mentioned players were the part of the India A side when Rahul Dravid was the head coach of the team.

The local boy Rahul Dravid shared some valuable suggestions with the team regarding the nature of the pitch and help team clinch victory in the 3rd ODI against South Africa.

BCCI took to Twitter to share the photograph with the caption “When two greats of Indian Cricket meet.”

After the 1st T20 whitewash, India registered a thumping victory over South Africa under the leadership of Virat Kohli, who led from the front with majestic 72 runs of 52 balls. India easily chased the target of 150 with an over to spare.

The match was also crucial in terms of testing the bench strength. The regulars like Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal were rested for the game, but the likes of Deepak Chahar, Navdeep Saini rose to the occasion and demolished South Africa top order.

Man of the Match Virat Kohli looked impressed with the character shown by the boys, he stated “Bowlers showed a lot of character. The pitch was very good and they got off to a good start so it was an outstanding effort from the bowlers,”

“As long as they (youngsters) show character in difficult situations, they are going to present a strong case for themselves in the future.” He further added.
