Fans slams Hotstar after it went Blackout during Ind vs Aus 2nd Test

The Disney+ Hotstar website and app experienced an outage owing to “unforeseen, technical issues,” which interrupted live streaming of the second Test match between Australia and India from continuing.

On Day One of the second Test at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi, Disney+ Hotstar fans brought attention to the outage on social media. Users attempted to access Disney+ Hotstar but were met with a black screen as Australia batted first.

The entire website went black during the second Test match between Australia and India in Delhi, however the firm hasn’t stated why. PB-4000 mistake was reflected on Hotstar. NM 4000 errors were experienced by certain users. When the website is unable to determine location, the two errors happen. However, many people only saw a blank page with no error message. Later, it was discovered that Disney missed the deadline for domain name renewal.

Fans criticised the company for the outage during the IND AUS 2nd Test, with #HotstarDown trending in India on Twitter. Later, it was discovered that Hotstar had missed the deadline for domain name renewal. The website lost access as a result.

Even if the Hotstar.com website opened after an hour, users were unable to stream any live games or TV shows. “Could not get details,” read the error message.

Although, with a 29% market share, Disney+Hotstar is the most popular OTT platform in India. India’s domestic matches are only live streamed on the site because Disney-Star holds the BCCI Media Rights.
