EPL 2022/23 : When will Manchester City win the Premier League trophy after Arsenal lost 3-0 against Brighton?

English Premier League 2022/23 is about to come to an end and as it seems, Manchester City are on their way to secure a 3rd consecutive English top-flight trophy. Although it is yet to be made official but after yesterday’s PL action, City’s only competition – Arsenal have very less chances of winning the 2022/23 season of Premier League.

The Gunners under Mikel Arteta were aiming to win the PL trophy for the first time since 2003/04. They were looking closer than ever to break the drought but Pep Guardiola’s men are as much as 3 points away from retaining their title.

Almost a month ago, Arsenal were inching closer towards success as they were 8 points ahead of City but since then, the North-Londoners’ performances have gone downwards. Arsenal played out 3 back-to-back draws against Liverpool, West Ham United and Southampton before getting thrashed by 4-1 against Man City.

If we talk about the current situation, City are on top with 85 points while Arsenal after a 3-0 humbling by Brighton have 81 points and have also played a game more than City.

Thus it means that Arsenal in their remaining 2 matches can reach as much as 87 points while City can get to as much as 94 points in their remaining 3 matches.

Now, even if City lose against Chelsea next weekend, they will have a chance to win the Premier League against Brighton and Brentford. Arsenal on the other hand do not have any choice but to win their remaining games and hope City crashes out in the next matches and secure only a point.

If Arsenal lose against Nottingham Forest this weekend and City beat Chelsea then Man City will be champions. City’s prospects of winning the Premier League were strengthened last night with a 3-0 win over Everton and their chances grew stronger following Brighton’s shock 3-0 win over the Gunners.
