Enigmatic Tweet Follows Surprise Benching of Heroic’s CS2 Star: ‘Truth Always Triumphs’
Just hours after Heroic made the unexpected decision to bench jabbi and stavn on October 25, stavn posted a cryptic tweet that seemed to be a direct jab at the organization. In his tweet, he wrote, “Gotta love the world we live in. What is the saying? Truth always prevails.” This tweet sparked speculation and left many wondering about the true reasons behind the roster changes.

Heroic had previously stated that stavn and jabbi gave them an ultimatum after their disappointing performance in the ESL Pro League season 18 campaign in September. Allegedly, the two players demanded that Heroic choose between keeping the in-game leader cadiaN or retaining the rest of the team. Heroic ultimately sided with stavn and jabbi, benching cadiaN earlier in the month.

However, Heroic’s narrative took a sudden turn when they announced that stavn and jabbi were temporarily benched because they had not upheld their end of the agreement and were seeking to join Astralis instead. While stavn’s tweet did not explicitly mention Heroic, the timing and wording strongly suggested that he believed Heroic had not been entirely truthful about the recent roster changes.
This drama unfolded just two days after Heroic had announced the signing of five-time Major champion dupreeh for the remainder of the year. Yet, as the situation currently stands, it seems unlikely that dupreeh will have the opportunity to play alongside stavn and jabbi.
Fans were already uncertain about Heroic’s ability to remain competitive in CS2 without cadiaN. Now, with both jabbi and stavn seemingly on their way out, the team’s future has become even more uncertain.
Despite these challenges, Heroic made their debut in CS2 at the Roobet Cup 2023’s Group A opener, where they faced Aurora and secured a 2-1 victory. However, they had to field MOUZ NXT’s players, Christoffer “Chr1zN” Storgaard and William “sirah” Kjærsgaard, instead of their star duo. The ongoing turmoil surrounding the roster changes and the organization’s integrity has cast a shadow over their prospects in the competition.
In conclusion, Heroic’s sudden roster changes and the surrounding controversy have left fans and the CS2 community in uncertainty about the team’s future and competitiveness. The conflicting accounts of the situation have added further intrigue to the ongoing drama in the world of competitive Counter-Strike.
