After picking up a hairline fracture in his right leg, Real Madrid star signing, Eden Hazard has been left out of the Champions League tie against Manchester City, and the La Liga El Clasico fixture against Barcelona.
“After the tests performed today our player Eden Hazard by the Medical Services of Real Madrid has been diagnosed with a fissure in the right distal fibula.
“His recovery will continue to be assessed.”
Balague also confirmed that Hazard won’t be featuring for Zinedine Zidane’s side after the injury. Tweeting the issue, the journalist said:
“Hazard out of City game and el Clásico,”
“He has a hairline fracture in his right fibula.”
Eden Hazard was spotted with an ice pack wrapped around his leg and was seen in the dugout during the later stages of the game against Levante. After the match, the Frenchman and manager Zinedine Zidane admitted that the Belgian could face a long spell out again.
“We don’t have good feelings about it,”
“It is a knock in the same place where he suffered his previous injury and it doesn’t look good. We’ll see what happens with him.”
It has become difficult for the Chelsea star to adapt to life in Real Madrid due to his constant injuries. With his recent injuries, he won’t be able to play for the Champions League in both the Man City matches. The Belgian is also set to be absent for matches against Barcelona, Valencia, and Real Sociedad.
Eden Hazard has managed to make 10 La Liga appearances in total since his move and has scored just one goal.
