Eddie Nketiah might be back to Arsenal FC

According to the reliable British Sports outlet, The Daily Mail, Gunners are all set to recall their young striker Eddie Nketiah from the loan in the next 48 hours ahead of his second loan stint in the same season.

Eddie Nketiah moved to Leeds United on loan in the summer transfer window and his stint at Elland Road might be soon over with lack of action. Arsenal is disappointed with the limited game time for the player and is all set to recall their academy product.

To date, the player has made 16 appearances in the second tier of English football in which his first start came on Sunday which resulted in a dramatic 5-4 win over Birmingham. All other 15 appearances have come as a substitute for the player.

According to Leeds United’s sporting manager and director, Marco Bielsa, Eddie Nketiah may or may not move back to Arsenal. However, he opined;

“Now that Clarke is no more with us we have to think if it’s necessary to replace him. In the case Eddie doesn’t stay we have to think in one more signing.

Since Leeds United have lost John Clarke, Eddie Nketiah might become their mainstay. However, the manager said;

“We analyse this (transfer window) week to week,” he said.

“We need to know what is going to happen with Eddie. We have to think about another player instead of Clarke. We have to analyse those two decisions.

“If both of them would continue with us, we weren’t going to sign another one.”

On the other hand, the 20-year-old player is gaining interest from the Championship sides like Bristol City, Brentford, Nottingham Forest, and Sheffield Wednesday. However, Bristol City is confident about signing the England U-21 international in their second bid who lost the player in the summer to Leeds United. It remains to see that will player join the second stint on loan or will remain at Elland Road. What should Eddie Nketiah do? Voice your opinion below.
