Rock Announces His WWE Retirement: Dwayne Johnson aka “The Rock” has silently announced his retirement from WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) yesterday, but looking at the WWE history there is always a possibility of making a comeback.

Famous wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Terry Funk, Bret Hart, and Victoria made a comeback after hanging their boots in the past.

While speaking on a chat show Live with Kelly and Ryan in the States’, Johnson admitted “I miss wrestling. I love wrestling. I quietly retired from wrestling because I was lucky enough to have a wonderful career and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. But there’s nothing like a live crowd, live audience, live microphone.”

Remembering the old days, when the old stalwart made his debut at the Madison Square Garden during the survivor series, 1997, he stated “I had my very first match in the WWE in Madison Square Garden. It was a big pay-per-view and it’s funny because I credit my journey in pro wrestling to getting me to where I am today — especially that particular night.”

The Rock played his last match in 2016 at the Wrestlemania, where he had a go at Wyatt Brothers — Erick Rowan and he defeated half of them single-handedly.

Although, Dwayne Johnson inclination towards acting rose after he savored the theatrical success for Mummy Returns in 2001 and since then has delivered many blockbusters that include billion-dollar franchises like Fast and Furious and Jumanji.

He is already the highest-paid actor in 2019 as ranked by Forbes earning a whopping $124. The veteran is riding high on moolah after the stupendous success of Fast and Furious Hobbs and Shaw.

Johnson has gradually also got into acting and production, in addition to being a professional wrestler. The 6ft 5 in. the wrestler made his debut back in 1996 and has been in the circuit for over 20 years.

Born on May 2, 1972, in Hayward, California, Johnson is now 47 and wants to focus on other aspects now.
