The biggest marquee event of the longest format of the game is all set to take place on 18th June 2021 at Southampton where both India and New Zealand will compete against each other in the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship final.

However Kohli and company will prepare for the biggest event in Test cricket on the field, Sunil Gavaskar and Dinesh Karthik will serve with the microphone in hand.

However ICC is looking for some more names of commentators from India and New Zealand but due to stringent protocols and 10 day quarantine period for overseas professionals, many experts have refused to arrive in England for the WTC final.

However other commentators who are finalized apart from Karthik and Gavaskar is  Kiwi speedster Simon Doull and two neutral umpires in England’s Mike Atherton and Naser Hussain.

It will be interesting to see that how Karthik will serve as a commentator as he is still active cricketers and plays for his domestic side Tamil Nadu and KKR in IPL.

Meanwhile, all the players from Men in Blue are staying currently in Mumbai is serving an isolation period of 14 days before they will fly to England on June 2nd, 2021.  New Zealand players are already in England and will be playing two test matches against England which will be followed by the WTC final against India.
