CPL 2023: Quick Fifty of Andre Fletcher Goes in Vain

Andre Fletcher

In the 10th match of the Caribbean Premier League 2023, between Barbados Royals, St. Kitts, and Nevis Patriots, both the teams were able to do extremely well. Almost 400 runs were scored in 39 overs. St Kitts were the first one to bat, and they had the commitment to get a big score for the team. Andre Fletchers took the responsibility to give a good start to the team. Even though he didn’t get a good start from the other side, still he managed to provide a good start to the team.

Contribution of Andre Fletcher

Andre Fletcher was determined to make his team win, but only one individual is not enough in a team’s sport to make the team win. Unfortunately, he was not able to get a lot of support from the other side. At the same time, he was the only batter from the team who got fifty from the team.

  • St Kitts batted first, and Andre Fletcher scored a good opening partnership with Captain Lewis. It was the opening stand of 42 runs. However, only 8 runs were contributed in that partnership by the captain, before he got out.
  • Even after the players around were getting out, Andre Fletcher ensured to take the score to 99 runs. Once he was out,  the team continued to play at a good strike rate. Other players were not able to score a 50, but there were several small scores that maintained the momentum of the match.
  • The 7th wicket partnership was certainly the best partnership for them. The score was 143-6, and that is when the destructive partnership between Dominic Drakes and Corbin Bosch began. This partnership took the score from 143 to 197 runs in less than 3 overs.
  • The target in front of Barbados Royals was 198 runs. They went on to perform extremely well. They scored 200 runs in only 18.3 overs.

Batting stats of Andre Fletchers
