Check Who Are the Two Batsmen to Smash Century in TNPL 2023

The 7th edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League has finally ended with Lyca Kovai Kings taking over the Title, defeating Nellai Royal Kings in the final on July 12. The 2023 season of the TNPL witnessed some marvellous batting performances. In this article, we will take a look at the two batters who have hit a century this season.

The first century of the Tamil Nadu Premier League was smacked by the top batting performer of this season, Guruswamy Ajitesh of Nellai Royal Kings. G Ajitesh scored marvellous 112 runs off 60 balls against the Lyca Kovai Kings on June 16. His inning was laced with solid 7 fours and 8 sixes.

The TNPL saw Ajitesh’s storm as he solely took over the charge and went on to destruct the NRK’s bowlers. Guruswamy Ajitesh amassed his century with a strike rate of 186.66.

The second century was scored by Arun Karthick of Nellai Royal Kings. Karthick named himself on the list of the centurion in the TNPL 2023 after a few days since the first century came from Ajitesh. The NRK’s batter posted a brilliant 104 runs off 61 balls against Chepauk Super Gillies on June 24. His innings included 10 fours and 5 sixes.

Guruswamy Ajitesh and Arun Karthick are the only two batsmen to have scored centuries in TNPL 2023. Both batters play for the Nellai Royal Kings. Guruswamy Ajitesh was the top run-scorer in the tournament, with 385 runs from 10 innings. Whist Arun Karthick secured the 6th spot with 263 runs from 10 matches.

A century is not very common in the Twenty20 cricket event known as the TNPL. Ajitesh and Karthick, however, have demonstrated that high scores in the TNPL are attainable.

Both batsmen played some outstanding innings, and their centuries helped their teams to victory. Both batters helped their team Nellai Royal Kings secure a place in the final. However, the NRK lost to LKK in the final. Guruswamy Ajitesh ended this season becoming the highest run-getter in the league.
