It doesn’t seem as if Chelsea are actually 2-time UEFA Champions League winner. Even club legend Didier Drogba said that he doesn’t recognize with the club because all he’s seeing is an awful style of Football. Since becoming the best in Europe in 2021, the Londoners have taken a step downwards following an internal turmoil within the club.
Former Borussia Dortmund and PSG manager Thomas Tuchel was expected to stay at Stamford Bridge for a long time but as we all know he wasn’t given enough time despite bringing major success as soon as he took over the reigns from Frank Lampard himself.
For the 2nd year in a row, the club suffered an exit from the Quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League 2022/23. Last night at their home, Real Madrid registered another 2-0 victory to seal a 2nd consecutive Semi-finale spot of their very “Own” league which they have won record 14 times.

If we talk about the game then Chelsea had more possession and had 6 shots on target but all of them lacked a clinical finish. Real Madrid also had the same shots on target and they had to wait a while before Rodrygo opened the scoring in the 2nd half.
Brazilian born forward Rodrygo who has a separate space in the hearts of Manchester City fans, daunted and bossed Chelsea through out the evening. Real Madrid’s first goal was an outcome of Rodrygo’s work rate and magic leave Trevor Chalobah behind.
The Brazilian had acres of space to penetrate from the right side of the pitch before Vinicius Jr. assisted him for the opener. The 2nd goal was a perfect imprint of Real Madrid “Toying” around with the Blues. Vini Jr.’s forward run ball found Valverde who sprinkled his magic to get past 2 defenders in the box before laying the ball for Rodrygo’s brace.
