Striker Erling Braut Haaland, vows to strive for improvement at Borussia Dortmund.
Borussia Dortmund’s striker Erling Braut Haland had recently shifted to the German club from Red Bull Salzburg at a hefty amount of £17.1m. And the 19-year-old is proving his worth quite accurately by scoring seven times and assisting once in his first three matches itself.
Haaland who was earlier linked with the Giants Manchester United scored a 5-0 against Union Berlin on Saturday.
He made his first step for Dortmund against Union Berlin at the Signal Iduna Park but was tripped off a minute after he scored his second deep into the second half.
However, Halland excepted that he is not fit to the fullest though he had a victorious start at Dortmund.
“It was pretty tough today, but it was also nice to play from the start,” the Norway international told Sky Sports.
“I have to get even fitter, I am still not 100 percent.”
The 19-year-old had a quiet amazing impact at the Germanian club as soon as he came off the bench, scoring a hat-trick against Augsburg on his debut.
His amazing performance was also praised by his teammate Axel Witsel as he stated that the club wanted a “stronger striker”.
Witsel told the Bundesliga website, “It’s crazy. To come on in the first game and score three goals, that hasn’t happened since [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang.
“We needed a stronger striker, and the club did really good on this one. We’re all happy he’s here.
“I asked him how he did it and he just told me, ‘I don’t know, I had the feeling!’
“For his age, he’s really strong. He’s tall, he’s big, he has a lot of quality. He can keep the ball.
“For a big guy, he’s quite technical and in front of goal he’s a killer.”
Borussia Dortmund are currently third in the Bundesliga and are three points behind league giants Bayern Munich
