Electing to bat first, Border’s innings was anchored by M Copeland’s unbeaten 45 from 31 balls, N Roux’s 44 off 28 and C du Toit’s 35 off 24, with the side losing only three wickets.
Limpopo’s chase saw CP Klijnhans make 38 off 29, MN Piedt add 34 off 14 and Abdullah Bayoumy 21 off 20, but they fell short by three runs with nine wickets down.
Ernest Kemm was the most effective bowler for Border, taking 2 for 22 in four overs, while Kyle Landsberg claimed 1 for 23; Limpopo’s Jan Coetzer took 3 for 28 and Kgaudisa Molefe 1 for 7.
The match was played at Cricket Club Ground, Polokwane, after Border won the toss and chose to bat.
