Blessing Muzarabani Biography

Blessing Muzarabani, a cricket player from Zimbabwe, was born on October 2, of the year 1996. On October 4, of the year 2017, Muzarabani made his first-class debut for Rising Stars in the 2017–18 Logan Cup.

Domestic Career

Blessing Muzarabani was born in Zimbabwe’s little village of Murewa. Later, his family moved to the Highfield district of Harare. When Blessing Muzarabani was seven years old, he started playing cricket at Takashinga Cricket Club. At this moment, coaches became aware of Muzarabani’s talent. Tatenda Taibu chose Muzarabani to travel to England for three months as a member of the Rising Stars Academy in the year 2017.

Blessing Muzarabani was chosen to represent the Southern Rocks in the 2020–21 Logan Cup in the month December of the year 2020.

Multan Sultans replaced Obed McCoy with Muzarabani in the month of June of the year 2021 in order to be prepared for the remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL) games. Blessing Muzarabani grabbed ten wickets for his team in six games, helping the Multan Sultans win their maiden PSL (Pakistan Super League) championship.

International Career

Blessing Muzarabani was part of Zimbabwe’s National Test Cricket team in the month of December of the year 2017 for their lone Test against South Africa. On December 26, of the year 2017, during the Boxing Day Test against South Africa, he made his Test debut for Zimbabwe.

Blessing Muzarabani was included in the Zimbabwe One Day International (ODI) team for the tri-series in Bangladesh in the month of January of the year 2018. On January 15, of the year 2018, Blessing Muzarabani played his first One Day International (ODI) for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh.

He was included in Zimbabwe’s Twenty 20 International (T20I) squad in the month of February of the year 2018 for their series against Afghanistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). On February 5, of the year 2018, Blessing Muzarabani made his T20I (Twenty 20 International) debut for Zimbabwe against Afghanistan.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) designated Muzarabani the team’s rising star after the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier tournament was completed.

Muzarabani declared himself ineligible for Zimbabwean national selection in the month of August of the year 2018 because he wanted to advance his career in England. Twenty 20 International signed a three-year contract as a Kolpak player the following month with the English team Northamptonshire.

He spent some time playing County Cricket before coming back to play for Zimbabwe. In the third One Day International (ODI) against Pakistan on November 3, of the year 2020, Muzarabani recorded his first five-wicket haul in the game.
