Big Breaking: India- England Tour Trophy to be renamed as Tendulkar-Anderson along with Pataudi name associated with it
The Upcoming India vs England Test match series which will begin on 20th June in Leeds where two best teams will compete against each other to mark next edition of World Test Championship cycle.
Talking about the latest development, Pataudi trophy is named in 2007 as the same year marked 75 years of Test Cricket being played among these two nations.
As per report from BBC, trophy will have Patudi name on it along with that Tendulkar- Anderson name will be added on it for which these two teams will compete against each other.
The rename version of Trophy will be unveiled very soon ahead of 5 big match Test Series between these two cricketing giants.
Dwelling further into details the new trophy will be revealed on 11th June in Lords where two cricketing stalwarts of both nation- Tendulkar and Anderson will be present on the occasion of World Test Championship final played between South Africa and Australia.
The occasion is extra special where unveiling a trophy which will mark the beginning of Next World Test Championship cycle is big thing in itself.
Tendulkar and Anderson have faced each other for record 14 times between the period of 2006 and 2012 where Tendulkar scored 208 runs in those encounters and Anderson dismissed him for 9 times which is still the most dismissal by any bowler in Tendulkar’s career.
India and England have played Pataudi Trophy for record 3 times in 2011, 2014 and 2018.
The series would be interesting and exciting as India’s best young talent with the up against England quality side where they need quality cricket at prolong period of time in order to register victory against England in those conditions.
The series will begun from 20th June it would be new assignment for Captain Gill who would be expected to wear batting captaincy and batting hat and do wonders in unique ways.
If India manage to win this series against England it will be unique tale in itself as the series would be coming in absence of two stalwart players like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who recently retired from Test Cricket.
