Big Breaking: Archery Mixed Event added in LA 2028 Games
There is good news for Indian Archery fans, as the decision taken by International Olympic Committee announced on Wednesday, compound mixed team event in Archery take place in the marquee event.
The event will be played in Los Angeles Olympics 2028 it will be new medal event along with 5 existing five recurve events where both Men and Women individul team and mixed events.
The news came good for Indian archers as team in all distinct events have done wonders in bigger stages so they would be looking to replicate the same performance in times to come.
The Indian trio including the likes of – Abhisekh Verma, Rishabh Yadav and Ojas Deotale defeated Denmark 230-223 in the bronze medal playoff match however they failed to field women’s team due to visa issues.
Indian archers competing in this category is extremely happy with this decision as Compound Archer Verma said while talking to distinct media outlets that they are elated that this category being added in Olympics as unit we are doing pretty well in this domain.
“We are extremely happy that this event have been included in Los Angeles Olympics and we will try our level best to win medals for India in the biggest sporting event in the world”
Even Jyoti Surekha echoed the same sentiment.
Indian archers have grown brilliantly in Compound archery over the years and they are currently ranked 2nd in that sports domain standing behind the likes of United States.
The other factor on which they need to work is certainly Psychological one where they need to understand the ability to grasp pressure when it mattered the most as stage like Olympics doesn’t test you only for your skills but its layer goes beyond multiple levels which include- Preparation, Psychological Preparations and Skill set to score points when it mattered the most.
