Owing to Suarez’s injury, Barcelona is looking forward to signing Arsenal’s striker on loan as a viable substitute. The team has an eye to rope in Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang on loan this month. The Arsenal captain is now into the final 18 months of his contract.

The deal was agreed during a conversation on Monday night between the Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, CEO Oscar Grau, director of football Eric Abidal, technical secretary Ramon Planes and head coach Quique Setien.

And as far as Suarez is concerned, he has been ruled out of football for four months, considering an operation on an injury to the lateral meniscus in his right knee and hence Aubameyang becomes the first choice of replacement for the team.luis-suarez-injured-fc-barcelona

However, it seems like Arsenal might take a while to give any response over it. As they haven’t shown any sign to put Aubameyang on paper for a new contract yet. Both the striker as well as the head coach denied any news of transfer or moving on into other teams yet.

Aubameyang said, “I would also like to react to some of the rumors that are going around about me in the media. People like making up stories and they should focus on what’s happening on the pitch.

“They talk too much and it does my head in! I am the Arsenal captain. I love this club. I am committed to it and desperate to bring it back to the top, where it belongs.”

Off late, Aubameyang who has scored 16 goals in 26 games this season, will be serving a three-match suspension after being called off in Arsenal’s tie at Crystal palace hence would be missing Tuesday’s game against Chelsea
