Australia has announced their squad for the upcoming third test match which is scheduled on January 7th, 2021 in Sydney. The opener Joe Burns has been dropped due to his inability to provide a solid start to Kangaroos in recently concluded first two test matches against India. However, there is good news for the home team as their ace opener David Warner has been named in the squad ahead of the third test match. Also, Will Pucovski has also recovered from his concussion which he developed during the practice game against India. Warner and Pucovski will most likely open the innings in the Sydney Test for Australia.

The four-match series is completely poised at the moments where the host and visitors have won 1-1 game each with Rohit Sharma joining the squad for the third test match after regaining his full fitness will add strength to the Indian test squad under the leadership of stand-in captain Ajinkya Rahane.
