# Sprint


Athletics Games: This is also known as Dashes. It is all about running and finish the sprint to a certain distance within the stipulated time. In professional sprinting, sprinters take a crouching position at the starting block and start forwarding with a gunshot and reach the finishing line. These are of 100 meters, 400 meters etc. in the international events. It is generally an Indoor game.

# Relay race


Athletics Games: The relay race is a type of race where a team has to be made and everyone has to complete their portion of the race with an object in the hand and then has to pass it to the other person. This game is all about the coordination between the team members. Everyone has to be calm in their mind to complete their own portion of responsibility.

# High jump


Athletics Games: The high jump is a game where participants have to jump over a horizontal bar kept on a certain fixed height without dislodging it. The participants don’t get any kind of element to support themselves while jumping. It is the game of perfect positioning. If the athletes can position their body properly without touching the bar, half of the game is already won.

# Long jump


Athletics Games: It is another track and field even in the athletics games list. An athlete has to run on a runway made of vulcanized rubber and then jump to the pit full of fine sand. The distance from the take-off point to the landing point on the sand is measured and whose distance is more, wins the race. It is a game of strength, speed, and agility altogether.

# Pole Vault


Athletics Games: It is an event where an athlete has to jump over a horizontal bar with the help of a flexible pole. The pole is generally made of fiberglass or carbon fiber. The height till which the athlete could jump is calculated and it is the factor of winning.

# Shot put


Athletics Games: It is a track and field event in which throwing of shots is involved. Shots are made of different materials like sand, iron, steel or some synthetic materials like polyvinyl. And this shot can be put in two ways like glide in which the shot has to be thrown circular 180 degrees and the other type is spin in which the shot is thrown linearly.

# Discus Throw


This is another event involving throwing of different types of heavy discs known as discus is thrown to a certain distance. This distance is calculated. The highest distance thrower will be the winner. It needs the really good energy of an athlete to throw a heavy disc to desirable distance.

# Javelin throw


It is a track and field event in which a javelin or spear has to be thrown to a certain distance. Generally, the length of the spear for men is 2.6 to 2.7 meters and for women, it is 2.2 to 2.3 meters. The grip of the javelin in around 150 mm wide. The winner is decided through the distance of the thrown javelin from the starting point.

# Hurdling


It is a sport in which running and jumping are involved. Some obstacles are placed equidistant throughout the track and the sizes and spacing of the hurdle are different according to the age and gender. The most important thing in this game is the technique of running and jumping.

# Swimming


It is a very old game throughout the world which is there in almost all kinds of international tournaments. It is an individual or teams sports. There are several events of swimming is there like Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle etc. This game is useful for throughout the body because of continuous flapping of hands and legs in the pool.

# Archery


The word, ‘Archery’ came from the Latin word arcus. It is very old historically. The bow and shot arrows are needed for this game. The motto is to shoot the arrow in the bullseye target. The concentration and cool brain are very much required for this sport.

# Gymnastics

# Shooting


It is a target hit based game just like Archery. But here a rifle and projectile object is used. The object is thrown in a projectile motion to hit the target. It is a very popular game in all types of athletics events. The main need to perform this is having an utmost concentration and reflex action.

# Wrestling


It is a very old type of game and very popular in rural India. It is played to take down an opponent by the tricks using the body and no equipment at all.  It is classified in the basis of weights in case of various official tournaments.
