The Asia Cup stands as a premier limited-overs cricket tournament, showcasing the talent of Asian cricketing teams. This year it will be played in the One Day International (ODI) format, the tournament brings together cricketing giants such as India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan alongside first timers Nepal.
With its inception in 1984, the Asia Cup has evolved into a biennial event that not only fosters fierce rivalries but also promotes camaraderie among nations. Ahead of the 2023 edition, teams are beginning to unveil their lineups for the upcoming 2023 Asia Cup, scheduled to occur in Pakistan and Sri Lanka from August 30 to September 17.
Pakistan, one of the co-hosts, took the lead in revealing their team roster. Babar Azam’s squad has been positioned in Group A, where they will take on India and Nepal. The Men in Green are the first team to announce the squad.
