Ashok Dinda Axed From Bengal Team For Abusing Bowling Coach

Out of favour India pacer Ashok Dinda, who is currently active in domestic cricket, has been shown the door from the Bengal team. It is reported that Ashok Dinda abused the bowling coach of the team due to which he has been dropped from the team. Dinda was part of the playing eleven in the Ranji Trophy match between Bengal and Andhra on Wednesday; however, he was dropped just before the match.

Star fast bowler Ashok Dinda, who has taken more than 400 wickets in first-class cricket, has been dropped from the team due to abusive behaviour against the coach. As per reports, Dinda had an argument with the bowling coach of Bengal team, Ranadeb Bose. During the course of the argument, the pacer started to use abusive language against the coach. Following this incident, the Cricket Association of Bengal(CAB) called a meeting and action was taken against Ashok Dinda. Taking disciplinary action against the pacer the CAB, just before the match against Andhra Pradesh, ousted Dinda of the team. However, Dinda was also told that he should apologize in writing to the coach, but if he did not agree to it, and thus was forced out of the team. Ashok Dinda was considered to be the key link for the Bengal team’s bowling.

Sources from the Bengal team claim that the case started after a mutual discussion between Bengal bowling coach Ranadeb Bose and captain Abhimanyu Easwaran. While the coach and captain were discussing about the match on the field, Ashok Dinda felt that the coach was talking ill about him to the captain. As soon as the conversation between the captain and the coach ended, Dinda allegedly started abusing Coach Bose. It is also to be noted both the bowling coach, Ranadeb Bose, and Dinda do not share good relations with each other as they have had differences in the past.
