Andres Iniesta believes the return of ex Barca player would be a great deal

Barcelona’s Andres Iniesta is of the opinion that Neymar jr would be a great signing for Barcelona

Andres Iniesta is of the opinion that signing of Neymar jr back to Barcelona would be a great deal, as there are rumors connecting the ex Barca player returning back to Camp Nou.

Iniesta has played accompanying Neymar for five years, and when asked was it important to bring Neymar back, to which he stated that he is a player of class and quality, something that the club would be grateful to have back.

‘He’s one of the best forwards out there, not just now,’ Iniesta said at an event in Barcelona.

‘He’d be a great signing for Barcelona, another thing is whether it’s necessary or not. For me, he’s one of the best and he’d be a great signing.’

Neymar has been on the radar of Barcelona ever since he had a breathtaking score in France. It was believed that he would have a lasting impression after joining PSG, but ended up playing only two knockout games of the Champions League and had to restrict himself due to injuries.

On the other hand, Iniesta has also been in the news for a January transfer. It has almost been one and a half year with Vissel Kobe, and now could be settled at Major League Soccer.

The World Cup winner, however, stresses he is happy where he is. ‘I’m feeling really happy at the moment, with hunger and excitement,’ he said.

‘I love where I am, I’ve enjoyed this year a lot. This year stays with me and the next one and I hope to fulfill it. Then we’ll see.

‘I don’t have long-term plans because this can change in a matter of days. What is important to me is this: being happy and playing football.’

Iniesta mentioned that the Japanese league was tricky some, he indirectly stated that his life as a footballer will only be for more two years.

‘I like the league that I’m in, I still feel like a footballer and I want to improve. Let’s hope [I’m in Japan] for many years, but there will be a day that it will have to come to an end.

‘Will I retire here? I hope so. I’ve got two years left on my contract and I don’t know if I will have the strength to continue [beyond that]. We’ll see.’

With only a couple of years left for his retirement, many questioned about his after-football journey since he is one of the maestros of football, hence coaching could be considered as one option.

‘The topic of coaching is something that I fancy [doing], he added. ‘I would love to return to Barcelona at one point in my life, but that’s a prediction. Now I still feel like a footballer.’
