In 2014, she made her WODI debut against South Africa. Kanchna has the record of the highest eighth-wicket partnership in a Women’s Twenty20 International along with Eshani Kaushalya.
In her 30 ODIs, she has scored 293 runs and grabbed 24 wickets. Her best figure is 3-26.
In 2018, she played her first World Cup in the West Indies and in January 2020, she was again included in Sri Lanka’s squad for the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
