The members of All India Football Federation (AIFF) expressed their sincere condolences on the death of former Vice Chairperson of the finance committee Mohd Shamsuddin after his death due to a cardiac arrest.
AIFF General Secretary, Kushal Das admires him for being a great administrator who took several bold steps to boost the federation financially.
“The AIFF fraternity is sad to know about the demise of Shamsuddin, former Vice Chairman, AIFF Finance Committee. He will be remembered for his apt administrative skill and passion for football,” Das said in a statement.
“On behalf of president Praful Patel and all our staff at AIFF, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family for this tragic and irreparable loss. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the bereaved family during this tough phase,” he added.
Shamsuddin was an integral part of the AIFF executive committee and he was highly responsive to bring reforms in the infrastructure of football in our country. He became the delegate of AIFF in the FIFA Extraordinary Congress in February 2016, where he represented his ideas to take Indian football to another level.
He also stressed on nourishing the local talent and spending proper money on the budding players by giving them all the adequate facilities required to become a great football player.
