All about Roland Garros French Open 2024

The 123rd edition of the Roland Garros French Open is all set to begin this Sunday, May 26, 2024, and will conclude with the men’s singles final on Sunday, June 9, 2024. This year, the Grand Slam is expected to be really exciting because a lot of players are in good form, and it is going to be a competitive event.

The draws and the top seeds for the tournament were announced yesterday, as a lot of mouth-watering battles are on the cards in the first round. Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray are pitted against each other, whereas the Indian, Sumit Nagal, will be facing the 18th seed, Karen Khachanov, in round 1.

Top 8 Men’s Seeds

The top seed for the French Open 2024 is Novak Djokovic, who will be eyeing his fourth title on the clay court. The Australian Open 2024 winner, Jannik Sinner, is the number two seed. Carlos Alcaraz, a phenomenal tennis player, is the third seed, and Alexander Zverev is the fourth seed.

The fifth and sixth seeds are Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev, respectively. Casper Ruud, who becomes a different beast on clay, is the seventh seed, whereas Hubert Hurkacz is the eighth.

Iga Swiatek, who is continuing her sensational run, is the top seed at the 2024 French Open. Aryna Sabalenka, the winner of the Australian Open 2024, is the second seed and the biggest threat to Iga Swiatek’s way to the title. Coco Gauff is the third seed, and Elena Rybakina is the fourth. Marketa Vondrousova is the fifth seed, along with Maria Sakkari, who is sixth. Zheng Qinwen, who had an excellent run at the Australian Open 2024, is the seventh seed, and Ons Jabeur is the eighth.

Exciting matchups in Round 1

Some really interesting and exciting matchups were announced yesterday while announcing the draw for the tournament. Paula Badosa is pitted against Katie Boulter in round 1, whereas Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray will be fighting for a spot in round 2.
