Akhil Sheoran Biography
The story of every athlete in the sports industry is nothing but inspirational and fascinating. Such is the story of this rifle shooter from a small district of Uttar Pradesh, Akhil Sheoran. Sheron is a 28-year-old athlete who completed his post-graduation from Jamia Milia University. It was the famous wall in Jamia Milia that induced the dream of going to the Olympics as a rifle shooter in Akhil, as he wants to have his picture on that wall after winning a medal at the highest level for his country.
Early Life
Born in the small village of Baraut in Uttar Pradesh, where shooting is a popular sport, Akhil Sheoran continued the culture of his town and took up shooting as his career prospect when he was in eighth grade. After completing his schooling, he did a B.A. from Hansraj College in Delhi University and got into the Indian shooting team in 2012. He then did his post-graduation from Jamia Milia University, which supported him a lot in pursuing his dream of becoming a successful sports shooter. All the places where he did his education helped him a lot in taking up shooting.
Shooting Career
Sheoran started his shooting career in 2012 when he was selected to be a part of Team India and never looked back. Sheoran, who competes in the 50-meter air rifle three-positions category, will also be going to the Paris Olympics as a part of the Indian contingent.
Akhil Sheoran has won multiple shooting medals in his career till now. He started by winning a bronze medal at the 2015 World University Games in the 10-meter air rifle three-position team event. Then, he won a silver medal in the 2016 Tehran Asian Games in the same category as before. He won two different medals at the 2023 Baku World Championships. Akhil won gold in the 50-meter air rifle in the three-position team category and a bronze in the individual category.
