AIFF President, Secretary General meets International Football Association in Kolkata to start U 23 Inter District Tournament

Under the direction of Kalyan Chaubey and Shaji Prabhakaran, a new football regime has made a number of historic decisions that shows how committed they are for the development of Indian football.

To address the expansion of Indian football, the current AIFF leadership recently met with the International Football Association.

According to recent developments reported by the All India Football Federation Press Release, the Under 23 Inter District Tournament in Kolkata was ready to begin.

“It was a productive meeting with the IFA management, where we openly discussed many aspects of football. Barring foreign players from local leagues will provide more opportunities to local players. To fill the gap, we proposed that IFA initiate an U23 Inter-District tournament from next season.” AIFF President said on this latest development.

The meeting also involved IFA President Mr Ajit Bandopadhyay along with Secretary Anirban Dutta and distinct office bearers were also part of the discussion.

The Under 23 District will be organized in Kolkata to make sure that youngsters gets a chance to showcase their talent at grand stage and the talent from local clubs in Bengal to find best players in the business.

The other development, on which All India Football Federation, will recently organize national Camp in Bhubaneshwar where 41 players have been selected and based on how they perform they will be selected to participate in the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2024.

Indian Football needs momentous step in past few months to make sure their ranking improved as they are currently placed at 101 and all these steps should be taken to make sure their ranking improved under 100.

“AIFF Roadmap to 2047” is another landmark step taken by Indian Football to make sure all the players who are doing well at Inter school level and the players who will do well they will adavance to Inter Club level subsequently after the club level those players will progress to the state level and combining their performances at all these levels eventually they will progress to the national level.
