KPL Players Who Could Make IPL Debut: The Karnataka Premier League 2019 came to its climax on August 31, 2019 with Hubli Tigers emerging victorious against Bellari Tuskers in the grand finale.

In recent years, the tournament has seen several quality players, who capitalized the opportunity and made a big name for themselves. A lot of cricketers have used KPL as a platform to reach greater heights in their career. Overall, he picked up 11 wickets in 6 matches at an average of 13.45 and at an economy rate of below 7. He performed consistently throughout the tournament and improved with each game. During the qualifiers and final, he was at the top of his game. Out of his 11 wickets, 9 wickets came in the last 3 games, that shows he peaks just at the right time.

One of the star performer of the team was Praveen Dubey, who scored 238 runs in 8 innings, which also includes 26 not out in the final. He also bowed some good leg-spin in the middle overs and picked up 4 wickets.

Pawan Deshpande won several games for Shivamogga Lions on his own. He scored 223 runs in the 7 matches he played for Lions at an average of over 30 and a Strike Rate in excess of 130.  Pawan gave the side impetus in the middle overs, and also helped them finish on a high. 

He can also bowl when needed and took 2 key wickets in KPL.

All IPL franchises will have a close eye on Deshpande and will look to include the all-rounder in the squad.

KPL Players Who Could Make IPL Debut: He was another key player for Hubli Tigers, who was instrumental both with the bat and ball throughout the tournament and overnight became man of crisis for the team.

He took 15 wickets in the 9 matches he played for Hubli Tigers and was their key bowler whenever the side needed a wicket. He used to bat lower down the order, hence, could only accumulate 78 runs in 7 innings, however, he scored a match-defining 48 in the final, opening the innings, and proved his worth as a batsman as well. 

His right arm medium bowling spells may not look threatening, but deceives the batters at regular intervals, which is the recipe for his success. He is deceptively quick and bowls accurately.

He started off as a key bowler for Belagavi Panthers, but soon transformed into an all-rounder by the end of the tournament. He took 9 wickets in 7 matches and also scored 45 runs in the 3 innings he played in the Karnataka Premier League, scoring at a hefty strike rate of close to 150.

After his all-round performance in the Karnataka Premier League, he will be the hot property for all the IPL franchises as they will look to sign him for the next season of the Indian Premier League.
