Mahendra Singh Dhoni is one of the most loved personalities in India and around the world. Although he has not played international cricket since the ODI World Cup semi-final against New Zealand, Dhoni still remains at the center of the media most of the time. India’s most successful limited-overs captain, Dhoni led India to the World T20 2007, ODI World Cup 2011 and ICC Champions Trophy 2013.

He has taken a sabbatical from cricket since the ODI World Cup in England last year and has not revealed his future plans as yet. These days, he seems to be spending most of the time with his family, as is evident from his social media.

Dhoni recently posted a video on Instagram in which he is vacationing with his family at a snow-capped holidaying destination. The video shows his daughter Ziva enjoying the snowfall while also singing a song and playing the guitar.

“Snow brings the best out of her,” he captioned the video.

Last month, Dhoni was asked about his future plans in the team, to which he said he would talk about it only in January 2020. Meanwhile, the Indian team management has always been by Dhoni’s side, saying that the former captain can continue to play for as long as he wants and should be given the freedom and space to do what he thinks is right for him and the team.

India will be playing the World T20 later this year, and while Dhoni’s experience will no doubt help India immensely in Australia, his form is certainly something to worry about. He is no longer a good striker of the ball and in a format like T20, any ball wasted could cost the team the match.

It will be on Virat Kohli and the team management to decide whether Dhoni is a part of their plans for Australia or not.
