The former Indian players nodded Chahal for becoming the highest wicket taker in IPL

Rajasthan Royals registered an emphatic victory against Kolkata Knight Riders last night at the Eden Gardens and jumped to the 3rd spot by winning their 6th match of the tournament. RR were comprehensive with the ball and the Bat as missing any chances of victory was never on their cards.

Sanju Samson had won the toss and asked KKR to Bat first. Though the home initially started off well but they kept losing wickets in regular intervals. Yuzvendra Chahal was the catalyst of the bowling until and the experienced leggie led from the front.

He leaked just 25 runs in his quota of 4 overs and collected 4 wickets. And right after taking his first wicket, Chahal became the bowler with the highest wickets in IPL history. The 32-year-old is currently leading the Purple Cap chart with 21 wickets already in just 12 matches powered by an economy rate of of less than 8.

Chahal overtook former MI and CSK All-rounder Dwayne Bravo as the all time top wicket taker. Bravo had 183 wickets mostly for the 4-time Champions CSK while Chahal now has 187 wickets in 143 appearances for the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals.

In honor of this incredible acheivement of the Haryana born Cricketer, Star Sports experts on live TV appeared to be imitating Chahal’s iconic pose of lying on the ground towards one side. “I think if I have to choose, I would pick the hat-trick ball. I always used to see Kuldeep Yadav and other bowlers, and I always wanted to have a hat-trick, especially in a big tournament, which was very important for me,” Chahal said.
