Watch : Epic Fan reactions on Pakistani cricket after Aleem Dar stops the play to fix a major error!

The second ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand was suspended on Saturday because the umpires needed to adjust the size of the 30 yard circle. After the first over of the match, which is being played in Rawalpindi, there was a brief interruption as umpires were seen instructing the ground staff to fix the measurements.

The pitch was adjusted after the first over was sent with incorrect measurements, according to an update on the Geo News website, a Pakistani news channel.

Aleem Dar, a well-known personality in the umpiring industry, then corrected the incorrect size by determining the distance in steps. The action was interrupted for six minutes before it could begin due to the rare and humorous incident, which sparked widespread trolling on social media.

Pakistan won the toss and decided to field in opposition to the Black Caps to start the game.

When play resumed with the proper field measurements, Haris Rauf dismissed Will Young of New Zealand in the sixth over for 19(22). Before Chad Bowes’s wicket was taken by Rauf, he scored 51 runs off of 51 balls. As New Zealand piled up a massive 336/5 in 50 overs.

Daryl Mitchell and captain Tom Latham took control and included 183 runs for the third wicket. Mitchell scored 129 runs off 119 balls, including three maximums and eight boundaries. Latham, on the other hand, was run out for 98(85) by Rauf, falling two runs short of reaching a well-deserved century.

Rauf took four of his allotted wickets and conceded runs at a 7.80 economy rate. Fakhar Zaman hit a century in Pakistan’s five-match ODI series-opening victory by five wickets. The five-match T20I series, which took place before the 50-over matches, had ended in a 2-2 tie.
