U Mumba Captain and Vice-Captain: Popular Kabaddi franchise, U Mumba has picked Iranian Kabaddi player, Fazel Atrachali as the team’s captain for the Pro Kabaddi League Season 7. One of the most successful foreign players in the history of Pro Kabaddi League, Iranian defender Fazel Atrachali will be seen leading the team in the upcoming Pro Kabaddi League Season 7.

Fazel Atrachali is currently the only foreign player to be ranked amongst the top 10 tackle points scorer in the history of the league. The Iranian player also bagged the best defender award in Pro Kabaddi Season 4, helping Patna Pirates clinch the second consecutive trophy in the tournament. 

I am quite motivated to be selected to lead the U Mumba Kabaddi team. I aim to lead the team towards victory,Atrachali was quoted as saying in the media release. 

Meanwhile, Sandeep Narwal, who hails from Sonipat in Haryana, has been made the vice-captain of the side in the Pro Kabaddi League season seven. 

“The use of strategy is very important, in fact, more important than just winning. As vice-captain, I want to implement and practice more strategies to gain control on our movements which will eventually help in winning matches,” said Narwal.

One of the most consistent teams in the league, U Mumba lifted the coveted trophy in Pro Kabaddi League Season 2. U Mumba participated in the final for three consecutive seasons from Pro Kabaddi Season 1 to Season 3, however, their Kabaddi campaign from there onwards saw a decline as they failed to reach the playoffs in Pro Kabaddi Season 4 and Season 5. 

U Mumba made a promising comeback in Pro Kabaddi Season 6, showcasing consistent performances in the league, which also saw them reach the playoffs for the fourth time in their Pro Kabaddi campaign.
