England vs. South Africa
The most successful run chase in the history of the T20 World Cup was done by the England team against South Africa in 2016. South Africa posted a massive total of 229 runs on the board, which England chased down in a tough fight with two balls and two wickets to spare.
South Africa vs. West Indies
A memorable encounter took place in the 2007 T20 World Cup when South Africa chased down the huge score of 206 runs by the West Indies, courtesy of a special performance from Herschelle Gibbs and Justin Kemp. Chris Gayle scored a century in that match.
West Indies vs. India
The West Indies found themselves in a precarious position in the 2016 T20 World Cup semi-final against India while chasing a total of 193 when Lendl Simmons came and played an inning for the ages. He helped his team chase down the total and knock India out in the semis.
Australia vs. Pakistan
Once again in a semi-final match under immense pressure, this time the Australian batters shone through and chased down a big total of 192 runs by the Pakistan cricket team. Michael Hussey was Australia’s savior in that match.

Netherlands vs. Ireland
In the 2014 T20 World Cup, Ireland posted a target of 190 runs to chase for the Netherlands team, and everyone ruled the Dutch out. But then they put on a fabulous batting display as the Netherlands chased down the score in just 14 overs, toying with the Irish bowlers and creating history.
