This legendary player of New Zealand will now play for America

New Zealand Cricket Team

Corey Anderson, who has previously been with the New Zealand Cricket Team as a veteran all-rounder, will now be seen representing America in the cricketing arena. The USA will have Corey Anderson in their squad for the match against Canada that will be played in T20 format.

Alongside Corey, Harmeet Singh, who has represented India at Under-19 level, has also gained a chance in the team. Even though Unmukt Chand has not been considered in the team up to now.

Talking about Corey Anderson, he has been playing for New Zealand for a long time. However, he had a short career for the men’s national team as he had 13 Test matches, 49 ODI matches, and 31 T20 International matches. In November 2018, he played his last T20 game for New Zealand. In this case, he comes back to the international realm after more than 5 years of break.

However, as Major League Cricket has already arrived, many of the players have been shifted to the USA and these players are eligible to play for their national team now. This also accounts for the reason that a good deal of the new players continue to get included in the USA team.

The batsman Corey Anderson moved base to the USA in 2020 and thereafter has been amongst the highest run-scorers. Besides this, a former Indian Under-19 team player Harmeet Singh has also earned his place in the team. Being the first of the domestic players taken in Major League Cricket, he was selected to be among the national players. One of former Delhi and RCB batsmen, Milind Kumar has also been rewarded with a place in the team. Previously, the Canadian captain Nitish Kumar was seen as playing against his own team while now he will be responsible for the adversary side.
