The love life of cricketers has been a hot topic for the public and managed to grab the eyeballs always. Their celebrity persona draws enough attention, especially when personal life is concerned.
One such cricketer who has found himself in the middle of spotlight again is the retired left-hand batsman and one of India’s most formidable openers Shikhar Dhawan. The rumour mills are abuzz with the news that he is said to be dating again, as he was spotted with a mystery girl during India’s match at the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai. He was there to mark his attendance as an ICC ambassador and participate in the ceremonial activity.
The interesting part however was that the lady in question tried her best not to share the frame with him and remain hidden from the media glare.
It seems that the former Indian cricketer had decided to give love another chance after going through an ugly and heartbreaking divorce from ex-wife Ayesha Mukerji. Dhawan has maintained a low-key profile since then, in matters pertaining to relationships and understandably so.
The mystery girl in news was also spotted with him last year in November 2024 during a travel outing. However, from the looks of it, Shikhar certainly doesn’t want people to know about what’s brewing in his personal life and wants to keep things under wrap for as long as possible.
The retired player known for flamboyant batting and charming personality has come under the radar ever since his pictures with the woman in question went viral. The unknown lady is said to be Sophie Shine, an Ireland based consultant.
Though there has been no official confirmation from either of the parties, the pictures make it quite evident she and Dhawan may be romantically involved and have some love brewing between them. The excited fans have been quick to speculate the duo may be more than friends and are only happy to see one of the most loved batters soaking in the glory of romance again.
Whether this mystery girl stays more than a friend is something only time will tell.
