Swapnil Singh was born on the 22nd of January in the year 1991, at Rae Bareilly, a city in Uttar Pradesh. Playing for Baroda in domestic cricket  Swapnil is an Indian cricketer who is also one of the best bowling all-rounders who bats right-handed and bowls slow left-arm orthodox.

Cricketing Career

He made his first-class debut in cricket for Baroda in 2006 at the tender age of 14 and was a member of the elite Mumbai Indian in the year 2008. He now plays mainly for the  Baroda cricket team which is a domestic cricket team formed at the city of Vadodara in the state of Gujarat. Moti Bagh Stadium is the home base of the team sitting on the grounds of the palace.

The team is lead by Baroda Cricket Association, which has been one of the most successful in the Ranji Trophy in this new era. There are a lot of famous c players of cricket in history that have played and has been playing for this team based in Gujarat, it has started to produce some of India’s most talented cricketers and is particularly appreciated for its fast bowling talents. A bowling figure of 4–0–19–6 was observed in the game of the 2014–15 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Saurashtra.

He is the leading run-scorer for Baroda in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, with 565 runs in six matches. He was also named in the squad for India Blue for the 2018–19 Duleep Trophy. Swapnil is a good lower-order batsman in addition to his already steady left-arm spin, but where he really uses his potential is the limited-overs cricket. Swapnil made his debut in domestic cricket through T20  in 2007, and since then has done exceedingly well for Baroda.

Swapnil was selected by Mumbai Indians in the first season of IPL, but unfortunately did not play a match for them and was kept in the standby. He never saw IPL action till the Kings XI Punjab picked him up in the 2016 auction for his base price of  Rs10 lakh only. He finally made his IPL  season debut against Kolkata Knight Riders, but was dropped immediately after that.

Swapnil Singh’s career in cricket has been a rollercoaster ride. The left-arm spinner was the part of the 25 probable for the 2008 Under-19 World Cup. In the end, however, he did not make it to the team for Malaysia. But, at the age of 14 years and 355 days, he did his outstanding first-class debut, for Baroda. For the next ten years, he only played 76 domestic matches, among which 31 of them came in 2014-15 and 2015-16. Swapnil had claimed the second-best bowling figures in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament – 6 for 19.

Dwelling into his Career statistics we see that his First-class debut was Baroda v Hyderabad (India) at Vadodara on  January 10-12, 2006 and his Last First-class was Mumbai v Baroda at Mumbai, December 14-17, 2018. Among the List A matches the List A debut was Baroda v Maharashtra at Pune on March the  5, 2008. the Last List A was Baroda v Maharashtra at Alur on Oct 8, 2018. he also played a set of T-20 matches debuting at Baroda v Saurashtra at Mumbai (BS) on April 6, 2007. His Last T20 was Tamil Nadu v Baroda at Kolkata on January 25 in the year 2018.
