Sussex County Cricket Club has been issued a 12-point penalty in the ongoing County Championship. Additionally, their captain, Cheteshwar Pujara, has been handed a one-match suspension as per the regulations outlined by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) for Professional Conduct.
These penalties stem from Sussex incurring four fixed penalties within a single season. Notably, Pujara, who was the captain during the specified matches, has accepted the suspension without contest.
