The Sunrisers Hyderabad are all set to face off against the Rajasthan Royals team in the Qualifier 2 match of the 2024 Indian Premier League season. The winner of this match will go on to face the Kolkata Knight Riders in the final of the tournament and get a chance to lay their hands on the IPL trophy.
After finishing second in the league points table, SRH faced KKR in Qualifier 1 of the tournament but lost to a spirited KKR team courtesy of a dismal batting performance. The Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, got the better of RCB and beat them in the eliminator to move forward in the tournament.
What can SRH change for this match?
The opening duo of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head has been the story of the tournament so far. They have lit up the IPL 2024 season with their explosive batting, breaking numerous records, but most importantly, the highest team total record, and that too, not once but two times.
Although in the matches both of these batters have failed to score runs, SRH’s shaky middle order has been exposed, and they have not been able to score big runs. Hence, it is extremely important for at least one of these players to bat till the end to provide SRH with a winning score or help them chase down the target.
But in a competitive tournament like the IPL, you cannot just depend on one strategy, and hence, we think SRH may reveal a trump card and do something special in their match against RR tonight.

The team management of Sunrisers Hyderabad could bring an experienced overseas batter, Aiden Markram, into the side in place of Vijaykanth Viyaskanth, their overseas spinner. Bringing Markram will give the middle order much-needed stability and will give Head and Abhishek more freedom to bat in an explosive manner at the top.
Aiden Markram could be the fourth overseas player and can replace Sanvir Singh in the batting order. In place of Vijaykanth, SRH can play Mayank Markande as an Indian player and free up space for Markram.
