Shreyas Iyer produced a maiden T20 International century, remaining unbeaten on 102 runs from just 43 deliveries. The innings came in the opening match of the series against the West Indies in Lucknow and helped India secure victory, easing questions about his recent form since assuming the captaincy.
The knock propelled Iyer to seventh place in the ICC T20I batting rankings in the latest ICC list. The update coincided with a change among bowlers, where Abrar Ahmed was overtaken by Rashid Khan for the top spot.
