Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan has denied taking part in the World T20 Continent Cup, saying the organisers used his name without his knowledge or permission, India Today reported.

In a post on X, Dhawan said his team would take appropriate legal action and asked the media and fans to ignore unauthorised announcements, according to The Times of India.

NDTV Sports reported that the tournament had named Dhawan in a team alongside Pakistan players. Dhawan represented India in all three international formats.
