Serie A giants Inter Milan are interested in signing Arsenal’s full-back Sead Kolasinac in the ongoing January transfer window, according to a report from TMW.
He was one of the worst-performing players in the Gunners squad last season and many believed that his time at the club had come to an end when Kieran Tierney arrived in the summer.
The Bosnian played a crucial role in the lead up to Arsenal’s first goal against Manchester United and remained a constant threat throughout the game on the left flank. And if reports are to be believed, Inter Milan’s representatives watched him in that game at the Emirates and are keen to make a move for him.
TMW has claimed that Inter is looking at two left-backs in England, Arsenal’s Kolasinac and Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso.
The report further goes on to suggest that other Italian sides Napoli and Roma are also monitoring the Bosnian who definitely suits the left wing-back position in a back-five.
Arsenal would have accepted any offers for Kolasinac a few months ago but since his return to form, it is highly unlikely that the Gunners will even look at it now, chiefly because the Bosnian is Arsenal’s only left-sided full-back present in the team after Kieran Tierney dislocated his shoulder in the game against West Ham last month.
Kieran, the former Celtic man isn’t expected to return to action before March which now makes Kolasinac an integral part of Arsenal’s first eleven.
The 26-year-old has played 18 times in all competitions already this season and with two-and-a-half years left on his £100,000-a-week contract, Arsenal is under no pressure to replace him.
