The Indian Premier League (IPL) has never been kind to Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB). Even after having a plethora of match-winners like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Dale Steyn, the franchise has never been able to win a single title. After a dismal show in the edition, many experts believed that the RCB management needs to go on the drawing board and rethink every aspect of their strategy.

And it seems like the franchise has heard them.

Since the last couple of days, the Twitter handle of RCB has been changing a lot of things. They deleted their profile picture and some old tweets to surprise the ardent fans of the team. They posted a cryptic tweet that told the fans to “brace themselves” for February 14th.

Finally, the date is here and they did not disappoint. The RCB posted a short video clip and unveiled the new logo for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Captioning the video, the franchise wrote: “THIS IS IT. The moment you’ve been waiting for. New Decade, New RCB, New Logo!”

There were numerous reports doing rounds that team might change the name or the jersey for the forthcoming season. But as of now, there is no confirmation, if those changes will be made. The side has also got a new sponsor in the form of Muthoot Fincord Ltd.

With the change of the logo and sponsor, the Royal Challengers Bangalore will be hoping to change their luck too. Till now, they haven’t won a title but would be hungry to open their account with the new edition.

During the auction, they picked up players like Aaron Finch, Kane Richardson, and Isuru Udana to strengthen their side. Dale Steyn, who was released before the auction, was later picked up by the management to strengthen their pace attack.

Virat Kohli will lead the side once again while players AB de Villiers, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Navdeep Saini will be doing their best for their skipper.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League starts from March 29.
