Pep Guardiola is tired of the jam packed schedule in European football!

Reigning English Premier League champions Manchester City have one of the busiest schedule in European football but their Spanish manager Pep Guardiola is too fed up to say anything about the scheduling. Earlier on Tuesday, City played out a 1-1 draw in the 1st leg of the Semi-finals against Real Madrid and tomorrow another Premier League final awaits them at Goodison Park.

City will be hoping to grab nothing less than a victory against Everton who are also in desperation to win games in order to avoid Relegation. Last weekend, Sean Dyche’s side thrashed Brighton by 5-1 away at the Amex Stadium and they will head into the against City full of confidence.

Manchester City’s previous meeting with Everton at home ended in a 1-1 draw and they cannot afford to draw this game also as it can negatively impact their title winning chances unless Brighton beats Arsenal at the Emirates right after City Vs Everton.

3 days after the PL tie, City will welcome Real Madrid for UCL semi-final 2nd leg at the Etihad and there are major concerns regarding Pep’s team being at their best amid the jam packed schedule.

“It is what it is. I can’t understand it but I’m not going to fight it any more. OK, you have to adapt. What can I do? We’d prefer to play Saturday to be able to prepare but it is what it is. I’m pretty sure the Premier League want to help the teams. I don’t think they make it uncomfortable.” – said Guardiola.

The journey to Merseyside on Sunday is critical at the two ends of the English premiership, with City aiming to keep up their advantage above Arsenal at the summit and Everton fighting to prevent relegation. Following Everton, City’s final league matches are scheduled against Chelsea at home, Brighton away, and Brentford during the conclusion of the season.

Despite having a match in conjunction, Arsenal are only one point below City at the top of the standings. Guardiola believes Arsenal will “definitely” win their final games against Brighton, Nottingham Forest, and Wolves, but the City manager insists his club cannot rely on the results of others.
