Pakistan Crushed Sri Lanka in 1st Test Match

Sri Lanka and Pakistan are currently playing a five-match test series in Sri Lanka. In the first match, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first. Pakistan crushed Sri Lanka by four wickets in the first Test match at Galle International Stadium, Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka batted first and scored 312, with Dhananjaya de Silva top-scoring with 122 runs in their first inning.

Saud Shakeel’s heroics in Pakistan’s first inning lead to an impressive score against Sri Lanka. 

In the first inning against Sri Lanka, Saud Shakeel single-handedly carried the weight of Pakistan’s batting lineup by scoring an incredible 208 runs. Alongside him, Salman Ali Agha put up a strong performance with 83 runs, while the rest of the team chipped in with 461 runs, keeping the opposition’s total to just 312 runs.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka put up 279 runs in their second inning, but it was not enough to stop Pakistan from taking home the win. After Pakistan’s strong showing in the first inning, Pakistan was left with a target of 131 runs to win in their second inning against Sri Lanka. With a solid performance by Imam-ul-Haq, who scored fifty runs, and Saud Shakeel, who contributed 30 runs, along with other players, Pakistan could efficiently complete the run chase and secure a well-deserved victory. 

Sri Lanka vs. Pakistan Afridi, Shah, and Ahmed shines with the ball.

In the two-match test series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, the guest’s bowling has been in top form. In the first inning of the opening match, Shaheen Afridi took three wickets, while Naseem Shah and Salman Ali Agha picked up three and one wickets, respectively. 

However, with his impressive six-wicket haul, Abrar Ahmed proved to be the star of the innings (3 in the first inning and 3 in the second). In the second inning, Afridi again impressed with two wickets, while Abbas and Ahmed followed with two and three wickets, respectively. Noman Ali also made a mark with his three-wicket haul in the second inning, helping Pakistan crush Sri Lanka in the 1st Test Match.

Sri Lanka’s Mathews and de Silva gave the team a respectable score.

Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews and Dhananjaya de Silva proved to be the team’s saving grace in their recent match, with Mathews scoring 64 runs and de Silva scoring an impressive 122 runs. 

Unfortunately, the rest of the batters struggled to score in the first inning, leaving the duo to carry the weight of the team’s performance. Despite the setback, Mathews and de Silva’s efforts helped Sri Lanka register a respectable score.

Sri Lanka’s Nishan Madushka and Dhananjaya de Silva led the team’s batting in the second inning, with Madushka scoring 52 runs and de Silva once again scoring 82. Ramesh Mendis also contributed with 42 runs.
