Captain Cool Dhoni, otherwise known to be an extremely private person was seen along with former team-mate Suresh Raina dancing his heart out at Rishabh Pant’s sister Sakshi Pant’s wedding festivities.
The trio burned the dance floor with their effervescent energy in Mussoorie on March 11. Pant, who was a part of India’s Champions Trophy-winning squad that beat New Zealand in the final flew straight from Dubai to attend his sister’s wedding. As a doting brother, he was seen supervising all the function arrangements and playing the perfect host.
The bride Sakshi shared photos and videos of the ceremonies on her Instagram stories. She tied the knot with her fiancée Ankit Choudhary on March 12, which took place at The Savoy hotel in Mussoorie.
Sakshi, who studied in the UK, enjoys a huge following on social media courtesy her enviable travel posts and elegant fashion outfits. She and Ankit got engaged last year after reportedly dating each other for nine years.
Pant was part of India’s Champions Trophy winning squad, but did not play a single game as KL Rahul was the preferred choice owing to his recent performances. Having returned to India earlier this week from Dubai, Pant took part in the Mehendi, Sangeet and Haldi rituals.
Former India captain MS Dhoni along with his wife Sakshi was the centre of attention as the duo was seen enjoying a musical performance by singer Stebin Ben, singing and dancing along with Pant, Raina, Nitish Rana. India’s Head Coach Gautam Gambhir also marked his attendance at the function and congratulated the couple.
Videos of family members and friends enjoying different wedding rituals have gone viral. In one of the videos, Dhoni, Raina, and Pant can be seen dancing with no inhibitions to the evergreen Bollywood song “Dama dam mast kalandar.”

Post his family commitments, Rishabh Pant will join his new team, Lucknow Super Giants and slated to lead them in IPL 2025, which is scheduled to start from March 22. He will have the responsibility of taking the franchise to new heights with Head Coach Justin Langer and Director Zaheer Khan.
Dhoni, on the other hand has already joined the Chennai Super Kings camp ahead of the upcoming edition of the highly popular league. He will be eyeing to clinch his sixth title under Ruturaj Gaikwad’s leadership.
Its heartwarming to see cricketers let their guard down and soak in the ceremonial spirit with full gusto and energy. The Indian batters surely had a blast, as evident from the reels and videos.
