List of Domestic Transfers ahead of Ranji Trophy 2019-20

With the 86th season of Ranji Trophy, the premier domestic cricket tournament taking off in December 2019, the fans are thrilled to witness their favorite cricketers fighting for their respective states.

Although, there is hardly any team that totally relies on local players with the movement of players happening across teams, even till the last minute. A total of 8 players transferred were approved by the BCCI ahead of the season. Karnataka made maximum number of transfers (3) ahead of the season. Let’s take a look at the list of domestic transfers ahead of Ranji Trophy 2019-20.

Stuart Binny

Domestic Transfers

Stuart Binny made his domestic debut for Karnataka in 2003-04 season, but couldn’t maintain his place in the squad. He called himself as limited overs specialist, but despite the fact he remained with Karnataka till 2018- 2019 season. He will always be remembered for his 742 runs and 20 wickets for Karnataka in the 2011- 2012 Ranji Trophy season.

Ahead of season 2019-20 season Stuart Binny is transferred from Karnataka to Nagaland.

Unmukt Chand

Domestic Transfers

Unmukt Bharat Thakur Chand, once seen as next cricket wonder will take the captaincy of Uttrakhand for the domestic season 2019-20. He has represented Delhi for the last 9 years, this will be the first time he will be playing for another. Although, Unnmukt Chand hails from Uttrakhand, but shifted to DPS, Noida Barakhamba road.

The Uttrakhand cricket team came into inception in 2018 and since then the management was trying to include Unmukt Chand in the squad. After a year wait they are finally successful to include Chand into the team setup.

Domestic Transfers

Chidhambaram Muralidharen Gautam represented Karnataka for almost a decade. He started off as a batsman for Karnataka, but was soon handed the gloves to keep.

He will always be remembered for the 2012-13 season, where he made a total of 943 runs at an average of 117.87, he also had 34 dismissals to his name in the 2012-13 season. Till date he has scored 2566 runs in 41 first class matches at an average of 51.32 that includes 8 hundreds and 9 fifties.

Ahead of 2019-20 Ranji Trophy he is transferred from Karnataka to Goa.

Arun Karthik

Domestic Transfers

Arun Karthik made his first class debut for Tamil Nadu against Karnataka in 2008 and instantly stole the show after he shared a 246 run stand with Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan, he scored 149 in the innings. He has played 74 matches in first class cricket and scored 4021 runs at an average of 36.22. He has 8 hundreds and 21 fifties to his name.

Ahead of 2019-20 Ranji Trophy he is transferred from Kerala to Puducherry.

Vinay Kumar

Vinay Kumar

Ranganath Vinay Kumar, the right arm medium fast bowler has represented Karnataka between 2004- 2019. He made his debut against Bengal in the 2004-05 season, he was Ranji Trophy second highest wicket taker in the 2007-08 season with 40 wickets to his name at an average of 18.52. He was also the highest wicket taker in the 2009-10 domestic season. In total he has played 99 first class matches and took 462 wickets at an average of 23.56, he has 17 five wicket hauls and 4 ten wicket haul to his name.

Ahead of 2019-20 Ranji Trophy he is transferred from Karnataka to Puducherry.

Malolan Rangarajan

Malolan Rangarajan

The bowling all-rounder made his first class debut for Tamil Nadu in the 2011-12 season, but there is nothing much to talk about his Ranji career. In the 2018-19 Ranji season he was transferred from Tamil Nadu to Uttrakhand, but a year later he is now back to Tamil Nadu, where it all started for him.

Robin Uthappa

Robin Uthappa

Robin Uthappa made his first class debut for Karnataka in the 2002/03 season and remained with the team till 2016/17 season. In the 2017/18 season he was transferred from Karnataka to Saurashtra, but 2 years later he is now moving to Kerala, having sealed a move from Saurashtra. Looking at his first class career, The Walking Assassin has played 136 first class matches and scored 9,118 runs at an average of 41.25 that included 21 hundreds and 51 fifties.
