A Michael Jordan jersey from the 1998 NBA Finals was sold in a private transaction for $14 million, equivalent to £10.6 million, setting a new record for basketball memorabilia. Hunt Auctions said the buyer was Miami real‑estate investor Ron Firman.
The red jersey was worn by Jordan in Game 2 of the 1998 Finals, when the Chicago Bulls beat the Utah Jazz to level the series at one game each. The Bulls later clinched the championship in six games, cementing the season as the famed ‘Last Dance’.
