ISPL 2024: Mumbai Majhi and Tiigers of Kolkata Roars into the finals

ISPL 2024, MAJHI MUMBAI, TIIGERS OF KOLKATA

At Dadoji Konddev Stadium in Thane on Thursday, Majhi Mumbai and Chennai Singhams fought in the Indian Street Premier League 2024’s first semi-final match. Mumbai Majhi, batting first, didn’t get off to a great start as they had lost three wickets for a total of only 13 runs.

But Abhishek Kumar Dalhor (62 off 23) and Ajaz Qureshi (33 off 17) made significant contributions that ultimately enabled the side to score 145 runs. Chennai Singhams lost the match by 58 runs after being bowled out for just 87 runs in response.

Despite Sanjay Kanojjiya’s fantastic 60 runs in just 26 balls, he was unable to get any help from the opposition. Out of ten batsmen, eight were out on single-digit scores. Regarding Majhi Mumbai’s bowling, Devid Gogoi claimed four wickets in 1.4 overs at an eight-run average. Vijay Pawle and Bashrat Hussain Wani both took two wickets each.

The Second Semi-Final

On the same day, Tiigers of Kolkata and Srinagar Ke Veer faced off in the second semi-final. The latter only scored 76/8 runs in the first innings, putting on a poor batting display. Top scorer Omkar Desai has 25 runs out of 15. For the Tigers, Raju Mukhiya (4/14) and Babbu Rana (3/9) turned out to be the top bowlers. The Kolkata Tigers responded by winning in nine overs with 5 wickets in hand.

TOP 10 BATTING PERFORMANCES

With 193 runs, Abhishek Kumar Dalhor leads the run statistics. Ketan Mhatre (148) and Prathamesh Pawar (135) are in second and third place, respectively, after him.Ajaz Qureshi, who has scored 112 runs in six games, is ranked number four. Bablu Patil, with 109 runs under his belt, is ranked fifth. Mohammed Nadeem (105) and Sagar Ali (102), meanwhile, are in sixth and seventh place, respectively.Yogesh Penkar, with 101 runs, is ranked eighth, and Krishna Satpute, with 99 runs, is ranked ninth. Munna Shaikh, who has 95 runs in his account, completes the list of top scorers.

TOP 10 BOWLING PERFORMANCES

Having taken 11 wickets in six matches, Raju Mukhiya leads the wickets tally. Second and third place go to Rajesh Sorte and Devid Gogoi, respectively. Each player has 11 wickets in their account. With 11 wickets apiece, Bushrat Hussain Wani is at four and Dilip Binjwa is at five.With ten wickets, Bhavesh Pawar secures the sixth position. He is followed at the seventh and eighth places, respectively, by Abhishek Kumar Dalhor (9) and Vishwanath Jadhav (8). In terms of wickets taken, Bhushan Gole (8) and Saroj Pramanik (7) are ranked ninth and tenth, respectively.
