IPL 2023 : Delhi Capitals management release new player code! Acquaintances of players not allowed after 10PM.

North-Indian IPL outfit Delhi Capitals who are searching for their maiden IPL title this year, have imposed a Code of conduct on its player which will not allow entry to acquaintances of any player in the team inside their hotel room. The curfew has been set at 10 PM and in case any player is found guilty, fines will be slapped and a possible contract termination is also among the consequences.

This decision is coming days after reports circulated around a player who misbehaved with a girl during a party which was organized by Delhi Capitals. The Code of conduct is formulated in order to safeguard the image of the franchise in public.

Even if a player wants to indulge with any friend or relative, they will have to take them to the hotel restaurant or coffee shop. Before leaving the hotel premises to meet someone, players must inform the team management beforehand and the information was handed over to the players following Delhi’s 2nd win this season against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The team integrity manager has to be given complete information and picture of the person coming to meet the player. Before the season began, DC had made it compulsory for the players to attend every franchise meeting and function so that players can gel up easily.

Delhi, in the meantime, began their season with five straight losses due to their inability to identify the correct lineup early on, but they recovered brilliantly and have won their past two games to raise some optimism for postseason qualifying. It will be difficult for them to qualify for the playoffs, though, given the NRR is similarly subpar.

Delhi Capitals were adjudged guilty of violating the IPL Code of Conduct following their victory against Hyderabad in their most recent game and have been assessed a sizable fine.
