IPL 13: Ponting terms Rabada “One of the best T20 bowlers in the world”

Delhi Capitals Head Coach Ricky Ponting praised Pacer Rabada and termed him “One of the best T20 bowlers in the world” .

Rabada was instrumental for Delhi Capitals against Royal Challengers Bangalore as the Capitals defeated Bangalore by 59 runs where he clinched 4 wickets  including priceless wicket of Virat Kohli. With his amazing bowling performance they were able to defend 196 runs.

Acknowledging the Rabada’s efforts, Ponting took to Twitter and write ” @KagisoRabada25’s 25 start this season is a great reward for his work , one of the best T20 bowlers in the world. Holding RCB to 137 given their power was pleasing , building off the work of our batsman who set things up. Couple of days now to reset before looking ahead to Rajasthan” .

After being asked to bat first Delhi Capitals got an ideal start thanks to amazing opening partnership between Shikhar Dhawan and Prithvi Shaw which was complemented equally by Marcus Stonis in the end who scored unbeaten 53 runs from 26 balls. When it comes to chasing the mammoth total of 196 runs RCB failed to provide opening partnership which was needed at the start and they lost three wickets quickly and it added a pressure on skipper Virat Kohli.

Kohli fought well for his 43 but due to lack of support from the other end the run rate mounting upto 17 runs per over made him play an uncanny shot to hit that ball for six but unfortunately that ball went to wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant and all the expectation of RCB winning the match was finished immediately after they lost chase master Kohli.

Delhi Capitals after registering the victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore reached at the top of the points table and they will face Rajasthan Royal’s in the upcoming match on October 9th 2020.
